These air fried Garlic Herb Bagel chips are crispy, crunchy, totally addictive and satisfy your savory snack needs! Enjoy with whipped cream cheese or your favorite dip!
MAIN INGREDIENTS
Bagel – 1 large Unsliced Plain Bagel (store bought) or any variety of bagel of your choice
Oil – 2 tablespoon Olive oil
Ground Spices – Garlic Powder, Onion Powder
Dried Herbs – Rosemary, Basil and Oregano
HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS
STEP 1 : Preparation
- Place bagel on a cutting board and use a bread knife to cut into half vertically (from top to bottom), not how we slice the bagel normally.
- Then cut them in 1/4 inch thick slices.
STEP 2 : Seasoning
- Add bagel slices into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle 2 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a pinch of dried herbs -oregano, basil, rosemary and toss well until combined.
- Make sure all the pieces are seasoned evenly.
STEP 4 : Instant Vortex Air fryer Method
- Select Air fryer mode and set temperature to 300*F and time for 10 mins (or preheat your air fryer, if using different model).
- Meanwhile, add seasoned bagel slices on the tray and arrange them in single layer (do not over crowd).
STEP 5 :
- Once preheat completed and when air fryer indicates “ADD FOOD”, open the lid and place dripping tray at the bottom of the air fryer and insert food tray in the middle rack of the preheated air fryer.
- Close the lid and air fry at 300*F for 10 mins, flip halfway through and cook until chips are golden brown.
- Once cooking is completed, open the lid and take out the chips and keep aside.
- Repeat this process for remaining bagel slices.
STEP 6 : Serving
Serve with your favorite dip.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Air fryer Model – I used Instant vortex plus 10 qt air fryer oven, different air fryer brands may cook at different rates, so be sure to keep an eye on food while cooking.
Avoid Overcrowding– Always cook them in batches, do not over crowd.
To Store – Store bagel chips in an air tight container or ziplock. Stays fresh for minimum of 1 month at room temperature.
