HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS

STEP 1 : To Prepare Homemade Berry Jam or Store bought

Ingredients:

400g Frozen Mixed berries OR any variety of frozen berry like blueberry, raspberry, strawberry

1/2 cup (100 g) Sugar

1 tbsp Lemon juice

  • Combine the frozen berries, lemon juice and sugar in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes until sugar is melted and berries are starting to burst.
  • Allow to cook for few more mints until water is evaporated and you get a thick texture like jam.
  • Then cool down completely and store in an airtight container and refrigerate.

STEP 2 : Lets make Yogurt smoothie

  • In a blender add 100 gram of prepared berry jam, yogurt, milk and ice cubes.
  • Blend until smooth.

STEP 3 : Serving

Pour in serving glass and topped with mint leaves and Enjoy immediately!

TIPS AND TRICKS:

Fresh berries can be used to prepare jam but it will take much longer time to cook and reach jam consistency.

Storing: You can prepare the berry jam ahead and store in refrigerator OR Store bought jam works good as well.

Variations: I used frozen mixed berries, replace with any type of berry.

I used plain yogurt, greek yogurt can also be used.
