HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS

STEP 1 : Cooking Pasta

Cook 4 oz Linguine in salted water with 1 tsp of oil for 12 mins OR according to package instructions and drain.

Don’t rinse (this helps the sauce stick to the pasta better)

STEP 2 :

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp of oil, minced garlic and sauté for 2 mins at medium heat.

Then add in minced onion and saute until golden on low to medium heat.

STEP 3 :

Add bell pepper and saute until slightly soft.

Reduce the heat to low, add the cajun seasonings, paprika, salt, chili flakes and tomato paste. Stir for about 2 mins in low heat.

STEP 4 :

Next, slowly stir in the heavy cream. Allow to cook in for about 4-5 minutes at medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Turn heat to low, and allow to thicken for 1-2 minutes.

STEP 5 :

Remove from heat.

Grate in the parmesan, and mix in thoroughly. Add pepper to taste.

STEP 6 :

Add cooked linguine, and toss to coat.

STEP 7 : Serving

Garnish with thinly diced green onion and serve hot with grated parmesan on top.
