Crispy Air fryer Zucchini Chips

These easy air fried Zucchini Chips are easy to make and are thin, crispy, and irresistible. Serve them as an appetizer, snack or a side to larger meal.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Zucchini – 3 small Zucchini

Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup of Bread crumbs

Olive oil – 2 tablespoon of Olive oil and Cooking Spray oil (I have used avocado oil spray)

Cheese – 2 tablespoon of Grated Parmesan cheese

Seasoning – Garlic powder, Pepper powder and Salt

HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS

STEP 1 : Preparation

Take a zucchini and cut both edges and discard. Slice zucchini into slices, about 1/4 inch thick, add to a large bowl.

STEP 2 :

Drizzle 2 tablespoon of olive oil over the zucchini slices and mix well until all the slices are covered in oil.

STEP 3 : Bread crumb Mixture

In a separate bowl add bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, pepper, garlic powder and salt. Give a good mix.

STEP 4 :

Drop zucchini slices into bread crumb mixture and coat well on both the sides. Repeat until all pieces are covered.

STEP 5 : INSTANT VORTEX PLUS AIR FRYER OVEN

  • Select Air fryer mode and set temperature to 400*F and time for 9 mins (or preheat your air fryer, if using different model).
  • Meanwhile, grease the tray with cooking oil.
  • Arrange coated slices in single layer, do not over crowd. Always air fry them in batches.
  • Apply cooking spray oil on top the slices.

STEP 6 :

  • Once preheat completed and when air fryer indicates “ADD FOOD”, open the lid and place dripping tray at the bottom of the air fryer and insert food tray in the middle rack of the preheated air fryer.
  • Close the lid and air fry at 400*F for 9 mins, flip halfway through and cook until crispy.
  • Once cooking is completed, open the lid and take out the Zucchini chips and keep aside.
  • Repeat this process for remaining slices.

STEP 7 : Serving

Serve hot with ketchup on the side.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Depends on the thickness of the chips, air frying time may differ, cook for additional 1 to 2 mins if they are not crispy.

Preheat – For the best results, always preheat the air fryer. When you add food to the air fryer, the hot immediately seals the outside guaranteeing a crispy exterior.

Air fryer Model – I used Instant vortex plus 10 qt air fryer oven, different air fryer brands may cook at different rates, so be sure to keep an eye on food while cooking.

Avoid Overcrowding– Always cook chips in batches, do not over crowd.
