Need a simple – easy to make refreshment for this summer .. with simple three ingredients here is banana milk. This is quick and refreshing.
MAIN INGREDIENTS
Simple and delicious drink made with fresh ingredients.
Bananas – 2 large Fully riped Bananas, choose any variety of bananas of your choice.
Milk – 1 cup Chilled Whole milk (full fat) OR any alternative plant based milk.
Sweetener – 2 tbsp Refined sugar OR any sweeter like maple syrup, honey, brown sugar, jaggery.
INSTRUCTIONS
HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS TO SHOW YOU EACH STEP
STEP 1 : Banana puree
- Take a Banana and peel off the skin.
- Add to a bowl, using fork smash the banana to a puree consistency.
- Then add in 2 tbsp of Refined sugar and give a good mix until sugar is completely dissolved. Keep aside.
STEP 2 :
In a cutting board, place another peeled banana and chop into small bite size pieces.
STEP 3 : Banana milk preparation
- In a pitcher or serving glass, add few tbsp of prepared banana puree and topped it with chopped banana pieces.
- Infuse it with chilled milk.
STEP 4 : Serving
- You can enjoy this drink immediately or store in sterilized bottle for later use.
- Shake well or Give a good mix before serving.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
Vegan – In place of whole milk, you can replace it with any type of plant based milk alternative.
Sweetener – I have used white sugar for this recipe. Honey, Maple syrup, Brown sugar, jaggery also works good. If you use above alternative, the colour of the milk will be light brown instead of white.
Storing: Take a sterilized milk bottle, layer it with banana puree, chopped banana pieces and infuse it with milk. Cover the bottle with lid and store it in refrigerator for minimum of 1 week.
Before serving, Take out from refrigerator shake well and drink.
Serving: Always shake or mix well the drink before serving.
