These Air fryer banana muffins are so easy, that are fluffy, moist, and taste amazing with melty chocolate chips. Banana chocolate chip muffins are a great way to use overripe bananas.
MAIN INGREDIENTS
Bananas – 2 medium size Very ripe Bananas
Sugar – 1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar
Oil – 1/3 cup Canola Oil or Olive Oil
Flour – 3/4 cup of Plain flour / All-Purpose flour
Egg – 1 large Egg, at room temperature
Spices – 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
Chocolate chips – 1/2 cup of Semi sweet chocolate chips
Air Fryer – Instant vortex plus 7 in 1 air fryer oven 10 QT
HERE ARE MY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PHOTOS
STEP 1 :
Mash bananas in a large mixing bowl, then add egg, brown sugar, olive oil and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.
STEP 2 :
- Sprinkle flour, baking powder and cinnamon on top and fold together until just combined.
- Add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and gently fold.
STEP 3 :
- Place silicone muffin liners on air fryer tray. Fill each silicon liner about ¾ full.
- Sprinkle some chocolate chips on each muffin cups.
STEP 4 :
- Preheat the air fryer on 160C / 320F by either using the preheat setting or running your air fryer for 5 minutes on that temperature.
- Carefully slide the tray into the preheated air fryer and bake for 11 minutes or until muffins are golden and a skewer comes out clean. If you have a smaller air fryer you may need to do two batches.
STEP 5 :
- Once baking time completed, carefully take out the muffin tray and move to a wire rack. Allow the muffins to cool in the cases for 5 to 10 mins.
- Enjoy this delicious muffins with a cup of coffee.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Use either silicone muffin cases or double up paper cases for this recipe.
If you have a smaller air fryer you may need to cook the muffins in two separate batches.
This recipe can be made in the air fryer unit with a basket or the air fryer oven. If you are using the air fryer oven, use the middle rack and select the “Bake” function.
Storing – Store your muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days. You can also freeze your muffins for a 2 months.
